Pronouncing Romaji
First off, you might be wondering what romaji is. Romaji is what Japanese looks like when it is presented in the Latin alphabet.
For example, dog in Japanese looks like this: 犬
In romaji this is spelled out as: inu
In order to make sure you are pronouncing romaji correctly, you need to learn 5 vowel sounds:
a, i, u, e, o
Pronouncing 'a':
The vowel 'a' should be pronounced like the 'a' in father.
Pronouncing 'i':
The vowel 'i' should be pronounced like the 'ee' in eek or feet.
Pronouncing 'u':
The vowel 'u' should be pronounced like the 'oo' in food or fool.
Pronouncing 'e':
